Carlo Cracco, born in Vicenza in 1965, began his career in 1986 at Gualtiero Marchesi in Milan, the first Italian restaurant awarded 3 Michelin stars.

After working at La Meridiana in Garlenda and spending three years in France alongside renowned chefs such as Alain Ducasse and Lucas Carton, he returned to Italy as chef at Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, contributing to the restaurant’s three-star status.

He later joined Marchesi for the opening of L’Albereta and soon after opened Le Clivie in Piobesi d’Alba, which earned a Michelin star within just one year. In 2001, he opened Cracco-Peck in Milan, which received two Michelin stars. Since 2007, he has been the owner of Ristorante Cracco, located in the prestigious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan and awarded a Michelin star.

He served as a judge on MasterChef Italy and on Hell’s Kitchen Italy, reinforcing his role as a leading figure in culinary television. He collaborates with Trenitalia on menus for the Executive Class, and he has worked for ten years with Singapore Airlines on their premium-class menus. Cracco is also president of the non-profit association Maestro Martino, dedicated to promoting author’s cuisine and Lombardy’s gastronomic excellence.

Cracco also manages an agricultural estate in Emilia-Romagna, where he produces wine, olive oil, and maintains a fruit and vegetable garden. In addition, he runs an e-commerce platform offering a selection of his artisan pastry products.

In 2021, he opened Cracco Portofino, overlooking the Gulf of Portofino, which has recently been awarded its first Michelin star with the talented Young Chef Mattia Pecis
